The updated position from the National Health Services (NHS), Medicines & Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) confirms that patients can take ibuprofen or paracetamol when self-medicating for symptoms of COVID-19, such as fever and headache.
The World Health Organization (WHO), European Medicines Agency (EMA), US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and various other health authorities have also issued statements acknowledging an absence of conclusive scientific evidence on this topic.
